A sad announcement from Wizkids today to all the players of Heroclix, Dice Masters, and Attack Wing. The 2020 Wizkids World Championship scheduled for October 9th – 11th, has been cancelled.
Wizkids sited health concerns and travel restrictions as the primary drivers of the cancellation. They included the wry observation of how odd it would be to have a ‘Worlds’ event when players from countries outside the US wouldn’t be able to participate.
All of us here at Game Talk Network are disappointed for fans and attendees of Wizkids games. However, we fully support their decision. The 2020 Wizkids Worlds Championship may be gone, but we’ll look forward to the many years of gaming in the future.
