Today, Games Workshop released the full faction rules for Combat Patrol play mode for Warhammer 40,000. This makes it possible to pick up the units in any of GW’s Combat Patrol boxes and get right to playing. Combat Patrol mode gives you set lists so you don’t have to do any army-building or load-out crunching, but can just get to playing. It promises to be great for beginners, and even seasoned players looking for a quick pickup game.
You can get each faction’s Combat Patrol rules at these links:
- Adepta Sororitas
- Adeptus Custodes
- Adeptus Mechanicus
- Aeldari
- Astra Militarum
- Black Templars

Combat Patrols aren’t just a differently-sized game, but a new play “mode” intended to simplify and streamline games with smaller forces. For more detail on this, check out our post about Combat Patrol mode.
