From wargaming painter David Taylor comes The Tremendous Tome of Epic Dungeons. It showcases builds from creators like Black Magic Craft, RP Archive, and @InkdMage. These builds feature commercially available parts, 3D printed elements, and custom-crafted components. The Tremendous Tome delivers 144 high resolution, full color pages of deep dungeons, open world encounters and more. One stretch goal, a PDF copy of the oneshot adventure The Depths of Eternal Darkness, has already been reached. As of the time of this writing, the Dungeon Color Reference Chart was just in reach. At the $28,000 mark, the reference chart will help terrain builders match the colors used in The Tremendous Tome’s exemplars. Even better, the reference card is laminated, so painters can mix colors right on the card for more precise shade matching.
The last stretch goal, at $32,000, is a limited edition adventure from Gooey Cube. D&D 5E compatible, The Dungeon of Du’unix Adventure is designed for characters level 8-10. Dungeon of Du’unix features builds from The Tremendous Tome of EPIC Dungeons, which is awesome for putting the terrain into the context of an actual game.
How much will this run me?
A hard copy of The Tremendous Tome of Epic Dungeons will set you back $45.00, and for just ten dollars more you can add on a PDF of The Tremendous Tome as well. That’s about the same as similar books by other publishers, but few to none of those combine variety and artistic quality the away The Tremendous Tome does.
What comes next?
Once The Tremendous Tome project wraps up, the book’s creators will put some of the funds into the production of The Tremendous Tome of Decorating Dungeons. That book will be available to anyone, for free, in PDF format. Where The Tremendous Tome of EPIC Dungeons is meant to showcase the art of terraincraft and inspire creators, Decorating Dungeons will be a guidebook.
