Steve Jackson Games has announced its new CEO, Meredith Placko. Placko comes from Turbo Dork, a specialty craft paint company popular worldwide with miniatures painters. SJ Games has said that she will continue to be involved with Turbo Dork while taking up her new duties with them. Steve Jackson clarified that his company is not acquiring Turbo Dork, though.
Placko’s first RPG was a D&D campaign played over telnet on a dialup modem. From there she went on to play Jackson’s GURPS system and has remained a player and a fan.
SJG’s former CEO, Phil Reed, will remain with the company in several ways, including remaining a member of the Board Of Directors.
