The Pokémon Company has announced the next art contest for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. They’re asking artists to “capture your chosen Pokémon enjoying a moment in its day or looking cool or dynamic…”
The contest begins October 12th at 6am PDT and ends Janury 31st at 5:59am.
Participants must choose from the following list of characters:
- Charizard
- Pikachu
- Eevee
- Feraligatr
- Flygon
- Absol
- Bidoof
- Melmetal
- Toxtricity (Amped Form)
- Koraidon
Prizes include:
- One Grand Prize Winner: $5,000 cash prize
- One Best Standard Card Illustration: $3,000 cash prize
- One Best ex Card Illustration: $3,000 cash prize
- Six First Place Runner Ups: $1,000 cash prize
- 15 Judge’s Awards: $500 cash prize
The contest is expanding into some new countries, and will be available to entrants residing in:
- Japan
- The United States
- The United Kingdom
- Canada
- Australia
- New Zealand
