Stolen Magic: The Gathering Cards Have Been Recovered

Indianapolis police have announced that the palette of Magic: The Gathering cards, stolen earlier this month at Gen Con 2023, have been recovered. They were found in New York City on August 25th. The cards are now being returned to Indianapolis to be held as evidence in the prosecution of the crime.

The suspects, identified via footage from security cameras, are two game designers best known for their work on the board game, Castle Assault. The cards they stole are collectively worth an estimate $300,000.

Indianapolis police said that charges will be filed soon with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
