Warhammer Fest Reveal: The Horus Heresy

The Horus Heresy reveals were all about new models, as well as the next campaign book, called Siege Of Cthonia.

Cerastus Knight Lancer

The Knight Lancer will be available as a polystyrene (“plastic”) kit, replacing the old resin one.

There’s a lot of detail here, down to the sculpt of the pilot himself!

Siege Of Cthonia

We begin with two major characters from this storyline.

Vheren Ashurhaddon

Described as the true son of Horus, Ashurhaddon is charged with protecting the homeworld, Cthonia, which has been taken over by imperial loyalists. He’s the leader of a group called the True Sons Of Horus who want to restore the old ways of tribalism and honor. They believe the new leaders of the Sons Of Horus have lost this. For the True Sons and Ashurhaddon, the move to take Cthonia back isn’t so much a conventionally tactical move, but a symbolic matter of honor.

Lord-castellan Evander Garrius

The Lord-castellan is the leader of the loyalists and the current Protector of Cthonia. He is a terran-born, veteran commander.

Other Models

A pretty significant reveal was also that assault squads will be coming to the Horus Heresy game, and these models will be usable in 40k too.

The game will also soon expand into some non-space-marine models, throwing in a little variety to the mainly marine-on-marine faction fighting currently available.

The Big Tease

Finally, a brief and cryptic video hinted at something new coming, which might be… a Horus Heresy video game? Or maybe an epic scale version of Horus Heresy? Very significantly, if you watch the video, you’ll see a Titan symbol pop up on the screen!
